Peningkatan Proses Dan Hasil Belajar Bahasa Indonesia Kelas IV Dengan Metode Mind Mapping di SDN 004/II Jaya Setia

Abstract

This study is motivated by the low learning outcomes of students in Indonesian language lessons, as indicated by daily test scores where only 50% of students achieved the Learning Achievement Criteria (KKTP) with a minimum score of 75, according to school standards. To address this issue, a method is needed to improve both the learning process and outcomes, namely the Mind Mapping method. This research aims to observe improvements in the learning process and student outcomes during the study. This classroom action research (CAR) involved four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The study was conducted over two cycles, each consisting of two meetings, with 20 fourth-grade students as subjects. Data collection techniques included instruments such as observation sheets for teachers to monitor teacher activity, observation sheets for students, and tests to measure student learning outcomes. After implementing the Mind Mapping method in Indonesian language learning at SDN 004/II Jaya Setia, the classical completeness of student learning outcomes increased from 60% (categorized as “adequate”) in Cycle I to 85% (categorized as “very good”) in Cycle II.
