Analisis Implementasi Pendidikan Karakter di Sekolah Alam Muara Bungo Kabupaten Bungo

Abstract

This study is motivated by the implementation of character education at SD Alam Muara Bungo, which utilizes habituation-based activities. The research questions address the process of implementing character education at the school and the outcomes of this education. The study aims to understand the character education process at SD Alam Muara Bungo. This is a descriptive qualitative study conducted at SD Alam Muara Bungo. The subjects of the study were three sixth-grade students and one teacher. Data validity was verified using technique triangulation. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. The research stages consisted of the initial field stage (proposal development), the execution stage (observation and interviews), and the final report writing stage (compiling the research findings). The analysis and discussion indicate that character values—specifically religiosity, honesty, discipline, independence, and creativity—are instilled through four types of activities: routine activities (e.g., communal prayer and congregational Dhuhr prayer), spontaneous actions (e.g., greetings and proper waste disposal), programmed activities (e.g., student orientation, field trips, and "market day"), and teacher role-modeling (e.g., dressing neatly and using polite language).
